| The three search engines mentioned have a lot to share and also to differ actually when it comes to finding links and content pages and then evaluating them. |

^ I second that! Search engines are created differently and they have varying algorithms. SEO methods to get good ranking in Yahoo, MSN and Google are not the same.

Do some seo (Search Engine Optimization). Search seo in google or yahoo. You will get lot of contents. Forums can also help you a lot. You also need to get backlinks from other sites. If you get lot of backlinks from other site (better if related) you will get higher ranking.

There are 5 ways by which we can rank in google:
1. Join forums, forums are a great way to achieve links to your website.
2. Submit to search engine directories.
3. Creating an ezine will probably be the most beneficial step you can take to increasing your web presence.
4. Creating and publishing articles.
5. Gaining links from related websites can be one of the most frustrating tasks you can attempt.

Since these search engines have different algorithm, all you have to do is to build links. Forum posting and social networks are considered to be most effective ways.

We all know that every SE have their own way to rank a site but I believe that if you did the proper seo optimization for your site, this would be applicable to other SE.
