Hey there. Just joined this site. I'm completely new to seo, web design etc.

while I'm sure is sound advice, isn't easy. Anyone any suggestions on how to do this? (bar posting in forums of course)
Also any other tips would be appreciated. No doubt this has been covered in these forums alot. -Just a quick glance tell me there will be a lot to read into. I don't expect people to retype whats already there to see, but if anyone could point me in the direction of some decent threads on the issue i'd be very grateful.

I agree with you. Getting linked to popular sites will boost your ranking. As you all know, Google gives importance to link popularity in determining site ranking.

It is not sufficient to get listed in Google search engine. Even though you have to perform lots of SEO activities such as submitting site in social bookmarking sites, directory submission, search engine submission etc.

You must also submit your links on do follow blogs and forum posting is also a great way in optimizing a website.
