CPC will not increase your PR cause PR is measured in terms of how many sites have link to your website.CPC will boost your Alexa's traffic rankings for sure.

I use Adsense. The ads are displayed on the pages using Javascript. As far as I know, SE bots don't parse Javascript.
So my guess is no. And I don't believe your Alexa rankings would be affected either. If you have proof of the contrary, please let me know.

Simple answer is Definitely NO. CPC will not increase your back links and PR as discussed above google adword use java script and its not possible for search engine to parse java script so, thats why cpc don't have effect on PR. Other cpc providers also use this kind of script that search engine can't understand.

Do CPC Ads increase your backlinks and PageRank?

CPC is more on the pay per click campaign while the backlinks and pagerank is more on the organic or natural result. CPC is more on generating revenue for your pay per click ads.

I think cpc ads will not effect to our backlink popularity. If cpc increase our link popularity it is very easy to get our sites in search engines.
