Hello,

Some of a client's pages are showing up in Yahoo site explorer with the URL as the title, despite having titles within title tags. Other pages in the site are displaying the title from the title tags.

Why is this? What does it mean if the URL is displayed as the title?

Is the site in Yahoo Directory?

Sometimes Yahoo uses its own directory title as your SERP title and many times it is just your url or company name.

I have a few pages like that myself. Just the URL shows as the title with no description. However, the only pages that show that way were removed by me months ago from my Website. I used a 301 redirect in some cases and just removed the pages in other cases. For some reason, Yahoo still lists them when I do a site:www check. Maybe that is the case with your client?
