I managed to get my Bean Bag Page listed from somewhere in the 600s to 69 for the competitive keyword phrase, "Bean Bag"...but now, it seems stuck there...I need to get it listed higher to benefit from the high volume of visitors that hover around page one and two....
Any suggestions on what to add, subtract, optimize? I've done all the typical things...headers, tags, anchor text, etc....
I'm looking for something alternative but legal. White hat kind of suggestions....

I have the same situation with some of my keywords and raising same question.
It looks like the traffic increase might help, but this is a guess. That's understandable, you get traffic if you have a good listing, and you have a good listing if you get traffic. So, probably traffic initially should come from the site promotion but not from the listing. If someone could explain the SE criteria it would be easy to solve it.
Also looking forward for an idea.

I would suggest that you increase the keyword density and offpage optimization and do some more link building using your main keyword as the anchor link. But I guess you probably have done that.

Probably your competitor have good content and good ranking too is beating you. Do some link exchange to rank up your site.
